We were so excited to capture Sheila and Chris’ wedding. They were so much fun to work with at their engagement shoot, and we couldn’t wait to see them again!

They said their vows at the stunning Kohl Mansion, and it was a fairytale location. Fittingly, when Sheila and Chris first saw each other, it was as they crossed the dance floor to dance with each other. That’s a fairytale in itself!

Megan & Ray’s Estate Wedding

We had such a wonderful time with Megan and Ray at their engagement shoot, so we couldn’t wait to return to Durst Winery to photograph their big day – complete with their two little ones!

Megan and Ray’s big day was all about family and making a beautiful day for everyone.  They brought in Fall colors (and sequins!) for their October wedding, and it was the perfect way to bring a cozy atmosphere to their wedding.  Of course, the best part of their wedding day was them!  Their smiles and laughs were absolutely contagious.  You couldn’t look at them without smiling yourself!

Shelby & Kevin’s Rustic Glam Wedding

We first met Shelby and Kevin (and their adorable son, Hudson) at their engagement shoot.  They were all so fun to be around, and it was such a treat to capture their sweet story.  So, we couldn’t wait for the big day!

The couple chose The Ranch at Little Hills for their wedding day, and it was the perfect backdrop for their rustic glam theme.  All of the bridal party wore cowboy boots, and we loved how the men paired their sleek gray vests with blue jeans!

We instantly fell in love with the reception decor, which was so elegant and yet still had rustic touches here and there.  And that sweetheart table!  Gorgeous!

Shelby and Kevin made the wedding day kid-friendly as well.  They included a kids table, coloring sheets, lawn games, and even cake pops!  All of their guests had a wonderful time dancing the night away, taking photos in a vintage VW bus, and enjoying their delicious meals and dessert bar.  It was a beautiful day, and we are so honored to have been a part of it.

Alicia & Aleks’ Gorgeous Sunol Wedding

We first met Aleks back when we photographed his brother’s wedding, and we were beyond thrilled when he and his fiancé, Alicia, contacted us about their engagement shoot and wedding.  Their big day was at Sunol’s Casa Bella, and it was absolutely gorgeous from start to finish!

Every little detail was thought through and presented beautifully.  The best part was the bride and groom themselves!  The way they look at the other is just so sweet, and you can tell their favorite place to be is right besides each other!  They are head over heels in love, which just makes our job easy!

Their reception was an absolute blast, and the party didn’t stop for a minute!  Everyone had a wonderful time dancing through the night, enjoying the extensive dessert bar, and eating course after course of a delicious dinner.  Alicia and Aleks certainly know how to throw a party!

Congratulations, Alicia & Aleks!!  Your day was absolutely beautiful, and we’re so lucky to have been a part of it!

Jane & Chris’ Saratoga Elopement

We were truly honored to be one of the few people in attendance for Jane and Chris’ special elopement.  They were so sweet, and just a joy to be around!  They live in France, but they enjoy traveling and their plans led them to Saratoga for a concert at The Mountain Winery, so they decided to get married while on vacation too!  They chose the intimate Inn at Saratoga for their special day.

Jane and Chris started with a First Look along the creek bed that borders the inn and then moved under the veranda for their sweet ceremony.  These two are so in tuned with each other that they both quoted The Beatles in their vows!

It was a beautiful day, and we are so happy for the beautiful couple.  Congratulations, Jane and Chris!!  Bon voyage!

Ariel and David’s Old Hollywood Wedding Premiere

We were so excited for Ariel and David’s Old Hollywood wedding, especially after having so much fun at their film noir engagement shoot!  They chose the beautiful Marin Art and Garden Center in Ross, CA, which has so many beautiful spots to take photos!

Everything about the day was beautiful, but nothing could hold a candle to the joy of the bride and groom.  They couldn’t stop staring at each other!  Everyone at the wedding was talking about how perfect Ariel and David are for each other and how you just know they will always be together – and they definitely will be!

The Old Hollywood theme was one of our favorites.  It was a perfect fit for Ariel and David, who are both in the film industry.  Film reels hung from the ceremony gazebo and decorated the cake table, film strips were presented on the welcome table and cake table,  and the cake was straight out of The Great Gatsby (complete with mini Mr. and Mrs. director chairs!).  They even used our engagement photos as their guestbook!  The photos were printed and laid on a welcome table, and guests were asked to autograph them.  They had even printed a movie poster using one of the photos to put on their own red carpet backdrop for guests to take photos on like they were celebrities at a premiere!

This was a very special wedding for us, one we’ve been waiting for since we first met Ariel and David back in 2015 at another wedding.  We love spending time with them both, and their wedding was simply stunning.  There was another, more personal reason why this wedding will always stand out in our minds.  As you may know, we are currently expecting.  While finishing up photos with the bride and groom (and right after the photo below), we felt the baby move for the first time – and towards the bride and groom!  Looks like someone else wanted to congratulate the happy couple too!

Vanessa & Bryan’s Mountain Wedding – With Touches of a Superman Theme!

When we learned that Vanessa and Bryan were both in theater and wanted touches of a Superman theme in their wedding, we knew we were in for a treat!  Our imagination went crazy thinking of a fun photo we could set up specifically for their theme.  So, we staged a shot to make them look like they were flying away!

Vanessa and Bryan’s wedding was just so sweet.  The event took place at the bride’s grandmother’s home in Ben Lomond.  They utilized the gorgeous property, including setting up the ceremony, and then the dance floor, under a dramatic willow tree.  Guests also enjoyed the river, and they even enjoyed riding in paddleboat and canoes towards the end of the night!

The best weddings are ones where you absolutely feel like you are surrounded by love and part of the family.  There was so much emotion in the ceremony and toasts and in the glances between the bride and groom.  It was a treat to witness, and we all felt like family.

A huge congratulations, Vanessa and Bryan!  You are the perfect pair, and we can’t see where you “fly” off to!  Up, up, and away!

Caitlin and Tim’s Forest Adventure Wedding in Saratoga, CA

Caitlin and Tim absolutely love the outdoors and adventure.  After all, he proposed on top of Half Dome in Yosemite after a 3-night backpacking trip!  So, when it came time to picking their wedding venue, Sanborn Park in Saratoga, CA was the perfect pick.  The park has a stunning redwood grove with a deck built in – perfect for ceremonies!

We always have a wonderful time with wedding parties, but this group was truly memorable.  In the middle of shooting their portraits, they all burst into song!  They started singing “Make a Man Out of You” from Disney’s Mulan – so of course, we joined in!  In true Disney fashion, it was magical.

After the ceremony, the guests headed to the History Club of Los Gatos to start the festivities.  We loved Caitlin & Tim’s special touches: the “Just Married” banner on the head table, steins for the groomsmen, and little jam jars as gifts.  They even had an ice cream bar instead of cake, which was amazing!

It was a beautiful day, and Caitlin and Tim are sure to have many adventures together.  Plus, love is the greatest adventure of all!

Jen & Paul’s Art Museum Wedding

When we first met Jen and Paul, we talked about how they wanted to do something unique and artistic.  We started by planning a special engagement shoot up at Lick Observatory, including nighttime shots!  It was great to do something so different and special to the couple, and we couldn’t wait until their big day at the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, CA.  The great exhibits made for colorful and fun backdrops, and Jen and Paul did a wonderful job of making their wedding unique to them.  It was quite different than most weddings out there – which we love!  We also made sure to bring in more nighttime photography.  The couple loves astronomy.  As a matter of fact, Jen’s ring even has meteorite in the band!

In addition to the great venue, they made sure to incorporate beautiful details.  Their flowers were not only utilized in the bouquets and boutonnières, but each table had its own unique display with miniature pieces of art for the table numbers.  The bride blew us all out of the water with her absolutely stunning blue necklace.  Talk about serious necklace envy!

Jen & Paul were such a joy to watch.  They are a perfect match, and there is so much love and partnership between them.  They would do anything for each other – even attend sporting events (Paul isn’t a big fan of sports).  They are beautiful inside and out, and it was a pleasure to capture their beautiful day!

Stephanie & Jason’s Downtown San Jose Wedding

We were immediately excited when we learned about the locations for Stephanie and Jason’s big day: the beautiful Hotel De Anza for getting ready photos, followed by a traditional ceremony at the breathtaking Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph, and finishing with a reception at the San Jose Police Officer’s Association.  It was the perfect blend of urban and traditional looks.  Plus, when you have such a great couple like Stephanie and Jason, you’re bound to get amazing shots!

Hotel De Anza brings their guests back to the class of the 40s, so it was a great backdrop for Stephanie & Jason and their bridal party.  Located in Downtown San Jose, we were able to utilize the the city and even the roof of the building to bring in a classy urban feel.  The sweet details of the sunflowers in the bouquet and the stunning cathedral length veil really captured the couple’s traditional and yet fun side.

The majestic cathedral was absolutely breathtaking, and we were so honored to be able to photograph there!  Add in the gorgeous bride and groom with her beautiful Trudy’s gown, and we were definitely having all the feels!  Of course, the best part was simply seeing Stephanie and Jason together.  These two are clearly crazy for each other, and it shows!  We were so delighted to be a part of their beautiful day.
