We were so excited to capture Sheila and Chris’ wedding. They were so much fun to work with at their engagement shoot, and we couldn’t wait to see them again!

They said their vows at the stunning Kohl Mansion, and it was a fairytale location. Fittingly, when Sheila and Chris first saw each other, it was as they crossed the dance floor to dance with each other. That’s a fairytale in itself!

We were over the moon when Alex and Neil suggested the Newark Days carnival as the backdrop for their engagement shoot.  They are both so much fun, so it was the perfect place!

Their adorable dog, Lucy, also made her photographic debut.  She was so sweet and immediately showered us with kisses!  After her photos, we brought Alex and Neil into the carnival to continue their nighttime shoot.  It was an absolute blast, and we can’t wait until their big day!

Lindsay & Weston’s Sunflower Engagement Shoot

Photography by ShootAnyAngle Photography, shootanyangle.com

One of our favorite things about working with lots of couples is that we always hear lots of great and unique ideas for engagement shoots and weddings.  Lindsay and Weston told us at our first meeting that they loved the idea of shooting in a sunflower field.  Talk about fun!  We couldn’t wait to find the perfect farm, and we soon got in contact with Muller Ranch.  They were very kind and worked with us to find the best location.

We literally met Lindsay and Weston out in the middle of the farm land, but we couldn’t have been happier with the spot.  The sunflowers were gorgeous, and we were all alone in the beautiful scene.

Lindsay and Weston were so wonderful to photograph.  More than once we caught them whispering sweet things to each other.  They are so very much in love, and that’s what we love to capture!!

Kristy & Kevin’s Lighthouse Engagement

Photos by ShootAnyAngle Photography, shootanyangle.comKevin popped the question at the Walton Lighthouse in Santa Cruz Harbor, so when we started planning their engagement shoot, they knew just where they wanted to have it!

Photos by ShootAnyAngle Photography, shootanyangle.comPhotos by ShootAnyAngle Photography, shootanyangle.comkristy_kevin.5When we saw them walking towards us, we could see from way off that they had absolutely huge smiles on their faces.  Their happiness was so infectious that we were all laughing the whole time!

Even being hosed by an incoming wave couldn’t damper their spirits.  They laughed and exclaimed, “This is so much fun!!”  It makes us so ecstatic to be a part of the happiest time in people’s lives, and we can’t wait to capture the next chapter of Kristy and Kevin’s love story – their summer wedding!

Kristina & Jirayr’s Aladdin Inspired Engagement Shoot

ShootAnyAngle Photography, shootanyangle.comWe are huge fans of Disney (I don’t even want to think about how much money we’ve given Disneyland over the years!), so when we heard that Kristina and Jirayr wanted to incorporate some Aladdin inspiration to their engagement shoot at St. Vincent School for Boys in San Rafael, we were totally onboard!  Kristina emailed me a few days out from the shoot and said that though they knew it was a long shot, they were curious if we happened to have an “Aladdin’s lamp” that they could use in the shoot.  I have a few props that were Beauty and the Beast themed, but nothing Aladdin themed.  That’s when I walked in the other room to tell James.  He very casually replied, “Oh, I have one.”  Sure enough, we looked through some old boxes and found the perfect Aladdin’s lamp!

ASH_7476kristina.jirayr.2ASH_7347Since they live in Marin County, they suggested St. Vincents as a backdrop, and we are so glad that they did!  The site had so many beautiful spots, and the rain cleared earlier in the day to give us perfect conditions.

We are so thrilled for Kristina and Jirayr.  They were holding hands everywhere we went, and it’s clear that they love being together.  They are so happy to be tying the knot, and we can’t wait until the big day!  Congrats, you two!

Alicia & Aleks Rustic Winery Engagement Shoot

ShootAnyAngle Photography, shootanyangle.com

The couple loves a rustic winery look, so Picchetti Winery was a great spot for them.  They loved the old wood look of the buildings there, and we were also able to utilize the gorgeous trails nearby.  Due to the recent rain, everything was green and simply stunning!

Jennifer and Sean’s City Hall Wedding

ShootAnyAngle Photography, shootanyangle.com

Jennifer and Sean love living in San Francisco, so they wanted their wedding to incorporate their favorite areas.  So, they decided on a small civil ceremony during the week followed by a fun and unique wedding day with all their friends and family on the weekend!  The iconic San Francisco City Hall was the perfect venue for their civil ceremony – and it was on Pi Day!

April & Gabriel’s Biker Anniversary Shoot

ShootAnyAngle Photography

It’s such a treat for us when we get to see our past clients again.  We’ve been so fortunate to work with absolutely AMAZING brides and grooms, and we miss you all once the wedding is over.  So, we get so excited when we get together for another shoot!  For April and Gabriel, it was for their one-year anniversary.  Their theme?  Harley’s!

ShootAnyAngle PhotographyShootAnyAngle PhotographyShootAnyAngle PhotographyShootAnyAngle Photography

It was simply a blast photographing them at the tranquil Uvas Reservoir in Morgan Hill on their Harley Davidson motorcycles.  They both love going out for rides, so it was the perfect getaway to meet in the hills for a shoot.  And we absolutely were gaga over the fact that they wanted their Harley’s featured.

At the end of the shoot, April and Gabriel suggested that we hop on their bikes and get in front of the camera for a change.  There is only one answer to when someone asks if you want to pose with a Harley: “Sure!”  This is yet another reason why we love our clients.  They are just so sweet!

Happy Anniversary, April and Gabriel!

Ariel & David’s Film Noir Engagement Shoot

ShootAnyAngle Photography

We first met Ariel and David at another wedding back in 2015, so we were thrilled when we heard that they were engaged!  Both lovers of film, they decided to do something unique for their engagement shoot: a film noir style shoot right where Hitchcock’s Vertigo was filmed at Fort Point in San Francisco.  We were immediately obsessed with the idea and started counting down the days until the photoshoot.

ShootAnyAngle PhotographyShootAnyAngle PhotographyShootAnyAngle Photography

For us, this photoshoot was a big treat.  The popular wedding style is to look bright with lots of light, high key images.  This shoot allowed us to play with heavy contrast, stark lighting and deep blacks.  Engagement photos are the perfect time to play with different styles and find a unique venue to pose with!

ariel.david.4-1ASH_0485ariel.david.2-1ASH_0706bw

Ariel and David had such a fun time with their shoot, and it shows through in their images.  They have spent most of their lives in San Francisco, so shooting underneath the iconic Golden Gate Bridge was perfect.  Plus, it gave them the chance to step in front of the camera and into one of the old movies they love so much.

After seeing their wonderful and creative idea for an engagement shoot, we literally cannot wait to see what they have planned for their wedding!
