Shelby & Kevin’s Family Engagement Shoot

ShootAnyAngle Photography, shootanyangle.com

We couldn’t help but smile as we saw Shelby, Kevin, and little Hudson heading towards us, hand in hand, at Lafayette Reservoir.  They were so excited for their engagement shoot, especially Hudson!

Mommy and Daddy laughed when they saw how much Hudson loved having his photo taken (and seeing the photo on the camera’s LCD screen afterwards).

“He’s definitely a natural!” they exclaimed.  We totally agree!  Since he seemed to love the camera so much, I even offered to let him take a photo of mommy and daddy.  I sat on the ground, and he quickly hopped into my lap to look through the camera.  He loved it!

It was so cute watching this adorable family.  They are so sweet, patient, and caring towards each other.  It makes us so happy!

Kristina & Jirayr’s Aladdin Inspired Engagement Shoot

ShootAnyAngle Photography, shootanyangle.comWe are huge fans of Disney (I don’t even want to think about how much money we’ve given Disneyland over the years!), so when we heard that Kristina and Jirayr wanted to incorporate some Aladdin inspiration to their engagement shoot at St. Vincent School for Boys in San Rafael, we were totally onboard!  Kristina emailed me a few days out from the shoot and said that though they knew it was a long shot, they were curious if we happened to have an “Aladdin’s lamp” that they could use in the shoot.  I have a few props that were Beauty and the Beast themed, but nothing Aladdin themed.  That’s when I walked in the other room to tell James.  He very casually replied, “Oh, I have one.”  Sure enough, we looked through some old boxes and found the perfect Aladdin’s lamp!

ASH_7476kristina.jirayr.2ASH_7347Since they live in Marin County, they suggested St. Vincents as a backdrop, and we are so glad that they did!  The site had so many beautiful spots, and the rain cleared earlier in the day to give us perfect conditions.

We are so thrilled for Kristina and Jirayr.  They were holding hands everywhere we went, and it’s clear that they love being together.  They are so happy to be tying the knot, and we can’t wait until the big day!  Congrats, you two!

Jennifer & Sean’s Flashmob San Francisco Wedding!

ShootAnyAngle Photography, ShootAnyAngle.com

A flashmob wedding?  How cool is that!?!  We were ecstatic when we heard Jennifer & Sean’s idea to show up at Cupid’s Span in San Francisco and have a flashmob ceremony.  We were literally counting down the days and teasing everyone about a truly unique wedding we had coming up.  Well – this was it!

jennifer.sean.1jennifer.sean.3ShootAnyAngle Photography, ShootAnyAngle.com

Jennifer and Sean wanted their ceremony to be different and memorable and representative of their home in San Francisco.  They fell in love with Cupid’s Span because it was super cute, overlooked the water, and had both the cityscape and the Bay Bridge as backdrops.

ASH_5467-Panojennifer.sean.5ASH_5791ShootAnyAngle Photography, ShootAnyAngle.comASH_5557ShootAnyAngle Photography, ShootAnyAngle.com

After the ceremony, we took advantage of the central location to take photos at other landmarks such as the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero.  We even secured permission ahead of time to do a photoshoot on a cable car!

The couple continued the party at a local bar right next to their apartment.  They share many happy memories there, including a surprise intimate birthday party for Sean.  The bar was such a neat venue!  To make it even more personal, Jennifer made the cake herself!  Her friend made the bouquets too!  As night fell, we even managed to sneak over to their apartment roof for a truly magical night photoshoot.

Jennifer and Sean’s City Hall Wedding

ShootAnyAngle Photography, shootanyangle.com

Jennifer and Sean love living in San Francisco, so they wanted their wedding to incorporate their favorite areas.  So, they decided on a small civil ceremony during the week followed by a fun and unique wedding day with all their friends and family on the weekend!  The iconic San Francisco City Hall was the perfect venue for their civil ceremony – and it was on Pi Day!

Sheila & Chris’ Rainy Day Redwood Engagement Shoot

ASH_4272

Sheila and Chris woke up to heavy rain the day of their engagement shoot, but even that couldn’t put a damper on the day!  The rain cleared just in time for the photoshoot, leaving behind puddles and rain droplets to make a sweet rainy day session.

These two can make each other laugh with just a word or even a look.  As photographers, we absolutely love when couples have that.  It makes each moment fun and an absolute joy to capture!

Janice & Cody’s Sweet Coastal Engagement Shoot

janice.cody1

It was quite a blustery day in San Francisco when Janice and Cody arrived at the Land’s End Lookout to meet us.  The beautiful view had attracted a lot of tourists, all bundled up tight against the wind chill.  That didn’t stop Janice from shedding her jacket to reveal a sweet pink floral dress that flowed so beautifully it took our breath away with every shot!

ASH_3682_1janice.cody5ASH_3627janice.cody4

Even the cold couldn’t put a damper on the love these two share.  Their love was evident in every shared glance, in how Cody would wrap his arms around Janice to keep her warm, in how Janice couldn’t help but smile just being near him.  It was so sweet to watch, and it made for some fantastic moments to capture.

We cannot wait to see these two on their wedding day.  They are so sweet together, and their love story is just beginning!

Keilani & Sean’s Christmas Samoan Wedding

ShootAnyAngle Photography, ShootAnyAngle.com

We first met Keilani and Sean a year ago at their engagement shoot in Downtown San Jose’s Christmas in the Park.  We instantly could feel the connection between these two.  They make each other laugh constantly, and we love it!

Keilani.Sean.2ASH_1479Keilani.Sean.3

The bride and groom started by getting ready at The Westin San Jose before heading to Holy Family Parish for the ceremony followed by a Samoan reception at the San Jose Police Officer Association Hall.  Keilani, a professional softball player, even brought her mitt along!

ShootAnyAngle Photography, ShootAnyAngle.comShootAnyAngle Photography, ShootAnyAngle.comASH_1857ShootAnyAngle Photography, ShootAnyAngle.com

Keilani and Sean met in American Samoa.  Sean was visiting family and Keilani was putting on a softball clinic.  So, they incorporated the Samoan culture throughout their reception.  Guests were given leis as they entered, Samoan dancers performed, and a full traditional meal was served – complete with a roasted pig!  Everyone felt like they were part of the Samoan family – including us!  Actually, James here at ShootAnyAngle was actually born in American Samoa, so it was very special for us too!  They even made sure that we were gifted leis as well.  It was so touching and made the day even more amazing.

Keilani.Sean.5ShootAnyAngle Photography, ShootAnyAngle.comShootAnyAngle Photography, ShootAnyAngle.comASH_2496Keilani.Sean.6

Keilani and Sean’s guests came from all over the world to celebrate with them, and they had an absolutely wonderful time.  In this day and age, it’s not always easy to get everyone together for a celebration (especially when the bride is a professional softball player and the groom is in the US Army). However, for Keilani and Sean, their family and friends would do anything to come together and make a special day for them.  One guest even booked a flight to San Jose, Costa Rica on accident.  That didn’t stop him from then turning around and flying out to San Jose, California!

April & Gabriel’s Biker Anniversary Shoot

ShootAnyAngle Photography

It’s such a treat for us when we get to see our past clients again.  We’ve been so fortunate to work with absolutely AMAZING brides and grooms, and we miss you all once the wedding is over.  So, we get so excited when we get together for another shoot!  For April and Gabriel, it was for their one-year anniversary.  Their theme?  Harley’s!

ShootAnyAngle PhotographyShootAnyAngle PhotographyShootAnyAngle PhotographyShootAnyAngle Photography

It was simply a blast photographing them at the tranquil Uvas Reservoir in Morgan Hill on their Harley Davidson motorcycles.  They both love going out for rides, so it was the perfect getaway to meet in the hills for a shoot.  And we absolutely were gaga over the fact that they wanted their Harley’s featured.

ShootAnyAngle PhotographyShootAnyAngle Photography ShootAnyAngle Photography ShootAnyAngle.comShootAnyAngle Photography

At the end of the shoot, April and Gabriel suggested that we hop on their bikes and get in front of the camera for a change.  There is only one answer to when someone asks if you want to pose with a Harley: “Sure!”  This is yet another reason why we love our clients.  They are just so sweet!

Happy Anniversary, April and Gabriel!
